Journey into Unschooling

Think Tank!

April 30th, 2009 by becki

A lovely day again – but no pix I’m afraid as I was too busy chasing various children lol!

We went to Think Tank today, and renewed our family pass with the money Nanny and Grandad gave us :) Sal and Evie came with us and also bought a family pass. The children had a fab day – playing in the water, learning about how the digestive system and heart work, dancing to a virtual exercise class, building wooden flowers, working in a cafe, mending pipes under the road, driving an ambulance, dressing up as ladybirds or flowers, admiring steam locomotives and Jaguar car building robots……….. A busy day ;-)

Holly falling asleep after it also gave me and Alfie precious time to build his train track and play with his real steam Thomas and remote control Thomas on it.

A great curry with the Yummy Mummies last night. I do find it difficult when people talk about things like the naughty step though. It’s hard when people are your friends but you really disagree with some of their methods. I feel it’s up to people to make their own decisions so long as they have all the information available to do so – but most people don’t know the damage many commonly used and heralded methods can do. It’s harder with people you know in real life as I worry they may be thinking “but look at your bloody kids” lol!
