This morning, on my way out, I popped back past the house where I saw the Sutton Coldfield Roofcare sign yesterday. Sure enough, they are still illegally stating that they are part of the Roofcare Group.
We will be reporting this to Trading Standards on Monday. Rich also spoke to the bailiffs, who have been out a few times and not made contact (surprise surprise!) but apparently yesterday Brett Clarke went into the court to pick up the form to suspend the warrant. We’ll see what happens…. The bailiff suggested giving them a week to see if they pay up (yeah, right!) then stepping things up a gear.
This morning the children and I went to see Sally for a coffee and cake 
Tom and Sam were at school and playgroup so Alfie and Holly had free reign over all their toys 
Afterwards we popped to Blunts and got them both some sandals for the summer. After lunch Nanny and Grandad came round to do play dough and get covered in yogurt

Could you send me the trading address of this company . I have been ripped of by ” Great Barr Roofing ” apparently also part of the Roofcare group with a head office at 2, Birch Drive,Sutton Coldfield

I have emailed you but yes, this is the same sole trader posing as different companies with the same trading address.

I have just googled Sutton Coldfield Roofcare and found all your blogs mentioning the problems you have had.
We had them do some work last year to repoint our ridge tiles and it is all falling out in great pieces front and back.
Why can’t Trading Standards do anything? Why can he carry on tradinbg and ripping people off? It seems to me that Trading Standards is a waste of time! Have they helped you? Jenny

Trading standards were not much use at all. They just called him in for a meeting and told him not to do it again basically. Yeah, right! We’ve had to fight and fight to get even a bit of our money back, through small claims and bailiffs. He has still only paid us less than half what he owes. Have you looked on blagger.com? They’re mentioned on there too so looks like there’s loads of us out there!
