Journey into Unschooling

Slimbridge

May 30th, 2009 by becki

Another sunny day and another adventure! We decided to visit Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. It was 75 miles each way but worth the drive. Holly was in her element shouting Quack Quack at the 1000s of ducks, geese and swans of all colours, sizes and shapes. She also loved the frogs in Toad Hall in the discovery centre and could be heard shouting Frog from several miles away ;) Alfie took part in a frog handling session and held frogs and a salamander.

There was a great playground with water play which both children loved. It was hot enough not to worry about wet shorts and it was great to see them having so much fun. A pity it’s so far away as I’m sure it would become one of our regular haunts.
