A short post today as feeling really grim. It has been a real challenge looking after the kids today. I’ve been feeling “off” for a whole week now but today I feel worst yet. I’ve got an awful headache and feel generally flu-ey and blee. It’s not helped by Holly being up most of last night.

Anyway, it was good to meet Caroline and the kids at Melbicks today. The sleeping grass was a particular hit – you touch the leaves and it curls up, staying that way for ten minutes. We also looked at all the animals, birds and fish, and had some snacks in the cafe, which has a great kids’ section with train tracks and other toys. Afterwards we popped to Asda – and for the first time ever I rang the store to compliment a staff member! He was so helpful – fetching the trolley for me to the car, holding the umbrella over us into the store then when we came out loading my shopping into the car and taking the trolley away.

This afternoon I have mainly been grumpy! The children did all the activities in their new magazines, built some Lego and generally rampaged lol! Am off for a very early night in the hope I can beat this!
