Journey into Unschooling

Telford Town Park

September 10th, 2009 by becki

A lovely day today. The sun shone all day and the children were back in shorts and sandals. A wonderful, unexpected early Autumn surprise :)   We made the most of the sunshine by heading to the wonderful Telford Town Park to meet Sal and Evie. The kids had a great time playing on all the play areas there. It has probably the best playground of all the “local” parks (albeit 30 miles away!) Holly really likes Evie and kept calling her name and even asked her to push her on the swings :) We had a nice – if waspy – picnic, before yet more playing in the sand. The kids were worn out. No sleeping on the way back though – Holly didn’t pause for breath long enough!!! She just talks and talks and sings and talks and talks.

So a great day of sun and play – and wonderful to catch up with Sal, a great friend who it’s always a pleasure to see (and I’m not just saying that because I know she’ll read this….. ;) )

Oh, and tonight we were looking back at photos of the kids as babies. They were enthralled by it! And I’ve gone all nostalgic…………….
