This morning we headed to Argos to get artist portfolios for the children’s stored artworks, a new DVD holder and a little unit for next to the wooden kitchen which now holds all the wooden food, tea set, plates etc. Alfie and Holly ran round the store like mad things, prompting thoughts of the great outdoors where they could more appropriately do so! I can only think that lots of people feel the same because when we headed to Kenilworth it was packed, despite the actual castle being closed. We had a lovely long walk round the castle walls, along the river and into the abbey park and ruins. I’ve “borrowed” some of Alfie’s photos that he took there today
(The full set can be found on Alfie’s blog) We came across a children’s play area and stopped there for a play before the cold and hunger drove us to seek food and warmth! Holly, as usual, had more stamina than Alfie walking wise
I am hoping his multivitamins and iron might build him up a bit lol!

On the way back we stopped at *blush* McDonalds where the children had fries and fruit bags. Then back home to build the new furniture and sort through all the stuff they now contain

Tonight is Alfie’s third night of reading the encyclopedia
He wants to know everyhting there is to know in the world
