Due to sheer exhaustion, can I direct you all here to look at Alfie’s fantastic pictures from Whipsnade zoo yesterday? The only extra ones we took are a few of the kids below. Alfie took loads of animal pictures
Suffice to say, we had a fantastic day with the free tickets Granny and Grandpa were given for us
The children had a fab day. It really is one of the best wild animal parks around – just so far! We called into Granny and Grandpa’s for a visit afterwards and stayed for a Chinese takeaway.
The children had a very late night, and a very disturbed one as they are both still full of cold. Alfie had one of his now increasingly rare night tantrums
Today we kept it fairly quiet – popping into Sutton to get new brake light bulb for the car, air drying clay for Alfie and a few other bits and for a coffee. The rest of the day just involved modelling with clay, play dough and plasticine (I’ll take some pictures tomorrow of the clay models Rich and Alfie made, but it seems really good stuff), reading, DVD, drawing, cooking roast vegetables and potatoes with chicken style veggie roast, CBeebies website, activity books and generally just trying to fight colds and survive exhaustion. Both Rich and I sneaked off for a bath (separately!) for some time out. Days like this remind you just how much better thing are now sleepwise. This used to be my default exhaustion setting. I don’t know how I survived, but I did, and I definitely prefer the less exhausted me of late. Exhaustion breeds depression, anxiety, fighting and moodiness (in all four of us!)Here’s to spring and less bugs
