Journey into Unschooling

Fab Friday

March 19th, 2010 by becki

This morning the sun was shining despite the forecast for rain, so we headed to Banners Gate playground to meet Harriet, Josh, Archie and Olivia. The children had a fab time playing and running around – visiting the moon and Mars in the basket swing, endless sliding and climbing, practising telling the time with the big clock. We walked down to the lake to feed the ducks, climb and explore the hollow tree, and find rabbit burrows and other treasures in the woods :) H was refusing to walk again so we had a lot of fun persuading her to walk and practicing our counting with Alfie and I on either side doing 1,2,3 wheee (and gradually increasing to 1….20 whee! LOL!)

Afterwards a restorative Pizza Hut buffet then back home to sort organic boxes and Waitrose online shopping, do some chores and lots of crafts. We finished Ariana’s birthday card, Alfie painted his clay handprint with acrylic paints, Holly painted her Easter bunny egg cup (A did his last night), Alfie stitched and decorated his finger puppet. Along with a few jigsaws, books, games and chores, that was our day ;)
