He has grown up sooooooooooooo fast!!!! Today I packed up all his 3-4 years tops for my friend’s little boy and hung all his 4-5 years stuff in the wardrobe and couldn’t believe how big it all looked!

His actual birthday was a bit bleurrggh as he was tired and excited and his behaviour all day was beyond challenging – shoving H into the corner of a table for no reason, punching and hitting me and Mom, deliberately smearing ice cream all over his clothes, flicking food, damaging things, screeching……………………. I ended up completely snapping and bundling him up into his room just to stop myself from doing something I regretted. We did manage to turn it around and spend some quality time together though, and he enjoyed his birthday lunch with Nanny in the local carvery. He had some lovely presents too. The Very Hungry Caterpillar pop-up book is a big hit, as is the Go Diego Go DS game

Today we had a quiet day. He had his hair cut, we met Bex and Nathan for breakfast in the pub (and he was thrilled with the new dragon she had knitted for him, plus the stripy scarf for his beloved Spencer), he helped me make up the eco party bags for tomorrow, we played with some of his new things, cleaned a bit, watched a video. I am not functioning well on any level at the moment so quiet days are as important for me as my overtired children! H appears to be teething again after weeks of improved sleep too.
