On Monday we headed to Birmingham Museums Collections Centre. It’s a fab place that houses all the stuff they can’t fit into the city museums. There is literally everything in there – from ancient machinery, Roman urns, stuffed animals, old cars, toys, shoes…. Alfie was impressed with the real miniature steam train to ride down to the entrance on, and the griffin trail – spotting 20 griffins around the warehouses. Afterwards we had a buffet at Wing Wah
then home for card making, badge making, wooden train tracks and more laundry!
Yesterday the children and I headed to Sutton to get the car valeted and do several banking chores. Alfie was very impressed with his new goggles and is keen to go swimming now
H of course had to have a pink pair! Back home, lots of house cleaning and tidying plus oodles of fun – making dandelion cordial from flowers picked in the garden, listening to story CD and following along in the book, doing some “work” (Alfie loves doing his nursery basics book or magazines and saying he’s working like Daddy LOL!), reading, Poisson Rouge on the PC, watching the cranes and building work over the road, jigsaws and general play!
Today we went to Pype Hayes park with Nanny. Holly enjoyed the play area and the sensory garden. Alfie loved the lake, with it’s ducklings and goslings and thousands of tiny tadpoles, and hunting under logs and dead wood for insects. He just adores nature and would far rather be bug hunting than going to playgrounds or soft plays. This afternoon they did play dough and reading with Nanny whilst we went to my dating scan. All is well and EDD remains around H’s birthday
